I actually got told TO map while I was in a vanquish. I was like, "No, it's ok, I'll just map when I come back through for these quests..".."No, do it NOW"

Ok.. -meep-

I don't mind this too much but of it takes too long then its annoying. The port sledge vanquish was a good example, while the map isn't big and it doesn't take long to map the areas it still adds to time for other people.

On the left side right next to port sledge ( when you are facing it ) there isn't any mobs but its a pretty far off the route, while like i said it doesn't take much time it's still a example of why people might get annoyed by people doing this. Why can't they just do carto after the area is clear?

One thing that annoyed me more at Arborstone was when we were done and 5 people had left, I decided to stay behind to collect my drops I was too busy to collect while healing and drop of people that had left and not picked up theirs, but what does this warrior ( that was one of two other people that stayed ) do instead of mapping back to town he walks in and teleports us ..................

When your doing this kind of thing you TELEPORT to where you want to go , you don't drag the whole party with you without knowing if they want to.

i cart when i vanq and its the same time limit if i dont. if you really dont like it when people do it say it in the group listing no cart or go with people who wont do it or even use heros. i use heros since im one of the people who have to stop alot due to rl issues.

Spending other peoples' time for them without being up-front about it is just selfish.

If you ask to map, and the group is fine with it, then it's fine. If you don't, then you deserve any and all abuse you get, because you're the sort of person that ruins the group experience for others and the rest of us would be better off if you found another game to play.

A good point was brought up, if you are going to VQ with a PUG, clear your schedule.
Let anyone know who might be expecting your time that you will be busy, and clearly state intentions of carting beforehand.
If you are going to cart, you should probably bring cons or something to make up for the added burden you will be creating.
